“Kim and her staff are truly artists. Having seen Thermage on Oprah, I decided to give it a try. I had been unhappy with how I looked for a few years, but did not want surgery. I was so impressed with the result that I let Kim guide me through what has turned out to be a transformative experience.
My husband and I recently returned from a Caribbean vacation where I lived in a bikini. I had total strangers approach me to find out what I did for my skin when they found out that I was 52 years old! He refers to it as “Our 2nd honeymoon”. Thank you Kim and everyone! You haven’t seen the last of me! I want to stay looking good, and I know that with your help, I will.
To everyone who is thinking of “doing something” to improve their appearance, RUN DON’T WALK to Lasting Skin Solutions® and put yourself in Kim’s hands! You won’t be sorry. I was so impressed with the result that I let Kim guide me through what has turned out to be a transformative experience. (Before and after photos available. I was chagrined to discover that I looked just like my grandma. How could that be—she was OLD?) It became so much more than just making my face look younger/better. I have a newfound ego! After being “carded” at a liquor store (they card everyone over 35—the cashier apologized for the inconvenience then said “Oh my gosh, you’re older than me! She was 46! Hope you’ve stuck with me, cause here’s the best part!

“I didn’t want to be transformed into a movie star. I wanted not to look so tired as a woman with six kids and four jobs really has a right to look! I wanted my face freshened, as if I did get those wonderful nine-hour nights’ sleeps that I never do get. I think that look of ‘weariness’ so many woman in their 40s and 50s experience is the really troublesome effect of middle age. I got that “freshening,”- essentially a face that looks happier and more relaxed-with no pain, no bruising, and no recovery time. The results were instant. I looked changed within seconds…
I opted to try a non-surgical facial restoration treatment, Thermage, because I wanted a younger, fresher look – in part because I’m often photographed-but also because I have a very crowded lifestyle that would not allow for cosmetic surgery, even if that was a procedure I would consider. More importantly, I wanted people to see my face — and to know that the second or “after” photo is an un-retouched Polaroid, taken on a day when I hadn’t even done my hair, and that all I’d added was powder and lip gloss-because I believe this product may spare a great many women from going through possibly dangerous and difficult surgical procedures that may be unnecessary. There certainly are circumstances in which people reasonably opt for cosmetic surgery. But medical technology is changing in a way that may mean that such extreme measures need not be for everyone. If all a man or woman really wants is what I wanted-to look like myself, only better, this can be achieved without the stretched, unnatural look so common with ‘facelifts.” I didn’t want to be transformed into a movie star. I don’t know how this product would work for others, but it was a great solution for me. And I’m not at all shy about saying that while it would be only in extreme circumstances, such as following an accident, that I could consider a surgical procedure on my face, this process, without the risks of anesthesia, the pain, and importantly, the expense, was the solution for me.”

Fraxel
“My husband told me that in the over twenty years that we have been together, my skin has never been more flawless. I have received unsolicited compliments specifically on my skin from co-workers, friends and family since the procedure.”
I had two Fraxel treatments, spaced about two months apart. The first treatment faded my freckles, age spots and even moles to about half the original darkness. My skin texture was fantastic. I found myself saying to my daughter, mother, husband and a few friends, “just feel how soft my skin is”. After the second treatment, I caught myself just staring in the mirror after I would wash my face. I had never seen my face shine like that before. My freckles had faded to a point that I believe that a light packed powder would conceal them all together. In the past, no amount of concealer could have covered my freckles and smoothed out my complexion.
Two years ago I visited Lasting Skin for permanent laser hair removal. I remembered two things that really stood out at that first visit. First, when I walked through the door, I was comforted, and somewhat in awe of the spa-like office space. I knew that a woman with “vision” was behind the details. The second impression came upon meeting Kim and her ladies… their skin was flawless. I mean FLAWLESS. I had never seen such perfect skin, outside of a magazine. I naively remember thinking that Kim only hired women with beautiful skin. I have since discovered that there is so much that can be done, non-surgically to get that flawless appearance. I believe that they have found “the Fountain of Youth.”
I have always had tons of freckles. I have never been a sun seeker, nor did I frequent tanning beds, although I do enjoy outdoor activities. Also, I was a jogger. For eight years, I subjected my skin to the elements, four to five days a week, for nine months out of the year. I had begun to notice that what had once been freckles had begun to look more like continents where the pigment had formed patches on my forehead. In addition to the pigment, I was getting fine surface wrinkles and a few flaky age spots. I was past due for maintenance. My skin appeared dull and I had a ruddiness that over-the-counter lotions didn’t seem to help.
When I returned to Lasting Skin at the mark of my fortieth birthday, Kim suggested Fraxel as a solution to my pigment with the bonus being that the procedure showed promise at improving fine lines and wrinkles. I looked for information on the Internet and discussed it with a good friend with a medical background. My friend performed this procedure in the Chicago area and had been impressed with the results. She told me that her patients had continued to show improvement up to six months out from the procedure because Fraxel stimulated collagen growth. She described it to me as repairing the skin from the inside out. I couldn’t find any downside and was anxious to get started.

About the procedure.
The procedure room was comfortable. In fact it was so comfortable, that when I was in for my second treatment, I actually fell asleep while I was waiting for the numbing gel to take full effect. Between the comfortable table, warm blanket, ambient pre-procedure lighting, soft music and reassuring staff, I was out like a light. I also had a calm that came from my first procedure having gone so smoothly, in addition to the confidence that I have in Kim, her staff and their state of the art equipment. I had the textbook recovery both times…maybe slightly easier, which I attribute to my care. The procedure itself feels like a prickly roller. Definitely “do” able. Immediately following the procedure there was a bad sunburn feeling that was alleviated by keeping the skin iced. The burning sensation went away with a few hours. I continued to diligently ice my skin until evening, and I think that it really helped keep the swelling down. Once the initial burning feeling subsided, I felt absolutely no discomfort. I had my first procedure performed at the end of the week so I would have the entire weekend to recover, however I scheduled the second procedure for a Wednesday. I worked the following day and even had a family reunion that weekend. My Aunt and cousins said that they would have never noticed had I not said something about the Fraxel.
The fun part begins about a week after the procedure. I do not mean “fun” in a sarcastic way either. The pigment appears to rise to the surface and each time I would wash my face for several days, more pigment would slough away. It was exciting to see what each new day would reveal in terms of fresh, shiny new skin.
I have been telling anyone who will listen, about this experience. I have found it to be very positive. I wish there were a comfortable way to tell others that there is a fix for splotchy, pigmented skin. I find that so many people are embarrassed to admit to having or wanting skin maintenance procedures. It seems that there is a stigma to spending money to maintain one’s skin. This makes no sense to me. There is no stigma associated with coloring one’s hair if it turns grey, or whitening one’s teeth. I have friends that spend $95 every six weeks to keep up their hair color, or $40 every three to keep up their nails, yet until now they really hadn’t thought in terms of skin maintenance. Maybe the thought was just too new. But, Lasting Skin is at the forefront of what is available, and better skin really is possible. I have seen the photos that prove it, and I have personally experienced the difference that maintenance can make. I have no doubt that in a few years, people will be saying, “who maintains your skin?” much the way we say, “who colors your hair?”
Thanks!

The Liquid Facelift
People can’t quite put their finger on it but they notice a difference. They ask if I’ve been on vacation. They tell me I look well rested. I feel like the procedure took 10 years off my appearance and its still working! Everyday I see positive changes.
I make a conscious effort to be healthy and take care of myself, but when I looked in the mirror I didn’t recognize who I would see. I looked very tired. I’m too busy to be looking like this! I wanted to feel better about myself and I was ready to do something about it.
Immediately after the treatment, I felt good and even went back to work! That night, I was tired so I lie down and put an ice pack on my face. The next morning, I was back at work! I could see the results immediately and knew they are only going to get better!

As seen in the October issue of Anew Magazine Lasting SkinSolutions® patient, Kathy has undergone two treatments of Sculptra, The Liquid Facelift. Her first treatment was on September 1 and her second treatment was on September 29. Ash believed her “drawn” look was causing her to look older than she felt. She is thin and her face tends to be drawn and the wrinkles stand out more, along with having sunken cheeks.
“Leaving the Lasting SkinSoultions® office, I got a double take from a good looking 20 something as I got off the elevator! I am 54 years old, and it has been a long time since I got “the look.” WOW! What a boost to the ego! I’m hooked! I have been to others, and after meeting Kim Cornell/LSS, I would never go to anybody else. Kim is not just a skilled practitioner, she is an artist. Her sweet personality put me at ease, and her staffs made me feel like one of the girls. Kim has something you can NOT fake – she cares. When I got home and looked in the mirror, hope returned. I looked like myself again. I will never forget it. For me, it was miraculous. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. [I] should have done it years ago. My only regret is that I waited so long. I have spread the word far and wide. It works! I was wary of making an investment in myself. As women, we feel we shouldn’t do things for ourselves. If anyone out there is considering getting rid of those lines and wrinkles – Just do it! You owe it to yourself.”
