What is a PDO Thread Lift?

This rejuvenating aesthetic treatment uses a synthetic absorbable suture made from polydioxanone (PDO) to lift and tighten loose or sagging skin, improve facial contour, and reduce facial wrinkles and folds. The PDO threads help stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, which will be left behind when the threads are absorbed by the body four to six months after injection. The newly generated collagen will help improve the elasticity and tone of the skin and provide a lasting improvement to the treated area.

What Can I Expect During a Treatment Session?

We will apply a topical numbing cream to the designated treatment area prior to a treatment session to reduce any discomfort associated with the injection process. PDO thread lift treatments can last for anywhere between 20 minutes and one hour depending on the area being treated. There is little to no downtime associated with this treatment and most patients can immediately return to their normal activities after a treatment session.

When Will I See Results?

You will see an immediate improvement in the treated area after a treatment session. The results of this treatment will continue to improve as the PDO threads stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, with final results appearing about three to four months after your treatment session. Results of a PDO thread lift can last for up to two to three years. Results may vary.

Are There Any Side Effects?
