Restore Your Natural Beauty

Clients often come to Lasting SkinSolutions® asking for help with sagging and loose skin. They intuitively feel that tightening the skin should be the only procedure needed to address the problem. While Botox and laser treatments will reduce or eliminate wrinkles, they will not adequately address the sagging of the support structures beneath the skin which comes with aging.

Often, dermal fillers are required beneath the skin to restore the skin’s foundational support. New research has shown that bone, fat, and tissue loss are more important factors in aging than once thought. Therefore, facial skin thickening and re-contouring are needed to restore its three-dimensional structure.

The AirBrush FaceLift® by Lasting SkinSolutions

Lasting SkinSolutions has developed a new and innovative skin restoration technique called the AirBrush FaceLift®. This technique utilizes the newest in dermal fillers to replenish lost volume, as well as reshapes and re-contours the face for a more youthful appearance.

Short-Term Fillers

The staff at Lasting SkinSolutions® is keenly sensitive to the natural reservation one might have about the visual outcome of their first filler treatment. Often short-term filler is recommended before proceeding with longer lasting fillers, as many clients find it useful to trial the process before committing to longer lasting products. Once the desired trust in the process and the treating provider’s expertise meet with desired results, patients usually progress to longer lasting filler options.

These products are safe, hyaluronic acid based fillers. Since hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance produced in the body, they do not require a sensitivity skin test prior to application.

  • Refyne
  • Juvederm®,
  • Belotero®

Short-term fillers are used for the superficial fine lines in the superficial layer of the skin. This plane is often where the shallow creases appear as etched lines on the skin. Depending upon the individual, the skin may also be thin and transparent. Clinical application of fillers is especially critical in this case.

Short-term fillers at face value may not seem preferable until one contemplates undergoing filler treatment for the first time. The soft and pliable nature of these fillers lends them to being a natural, safe first choice when one contemplates fillers.

Clinical experience reflects that patient perceptions mature over time to place greater and greater emphasis on the skills, education, and experience demonstrated to achieve the desired aesthetic result.

A downside to utilizing short-term fillers is that it is not as cost-effective to correct larger areas or larger volumes with these products since it would be expensive and impractical to replace this product every 8-12 months to maintain the desired result.

One of the most prominent differentiation points with short-term filler products is the ability to chemically melt the product, allowing the clinician to reverse and modify treatments if necessary or desired. Mid-Term Fillers

As we age our face deflates much like a balloon deflates causing folds and wrinkles in the skin. This is due to tissue breakdown in areas of repeated movement or with regression of the bony structure to our face. A little-known fact is that the facial bones shrink as we age beginning at the age of 35! Many mid-term fillers are used in the medium to deep layer of the skin in order to restore volume, contour and support to the architecture of the face.

These dermal fillers primarily target concerns related to volume loss and are not specifically designed to address superficial creases. Commonly treated areas include areas characterized by a sunken, fatigued, or swollen appearance. These fillers work to replenish volume in sunken cheeks, restoring the natural contours essential for maintaining a youthful, heart-shaped face. Examples of these fillers include Radiesse® (up to 18 months), Restylane Lyft® (up to 18 months), and Restylane Defyne®(up to 18 months).

Long-Term Fillers

The two longest lasting fillers on the US market are Bellafill and Sculptra. They are also called collagen-stimulating fillers because they induce the growth of new collagen formation at the site of injection. This leads to very long lasting results, typically 5-7 years, as the new collagen that has been formed remains in place.

This newly generated collagen has the added benefit of improving your skin tone and quality. Most users see more youthful looking skin due to the improved blood flow to the dermis. These two products work well together, as they are ideal for different facial areas, and are great in combination. Sculptra is unique and unlike any other dermal filler on the market today. This innovative anti-aging formula is crafted with biocompatible poly-L-lactic acid to restore collagen in the skin. By doing so, this treatment can restore the thickness and contour beneath the skin, granting you a younger look without downtime or incisions.

While hyaluronic acid fillers produce immediate results, they’re typically only used to treat one area, and their effects last a year at best. Sculptra is completely different from these traditional fillers. It is able to fill multiple areas of the face in one sitting.

Sculptra is often best for filling in temples, producing contour in the cheeks and lifting the jawline. For those looking to restore their natural facial volume and fullness with long-term results, Sculptra may be the perfect option. During your consultation, we can devise a treatment plan best tailored to your aesthetic goals.
